I have a question for you:
What does Indian Television mean to you?
You yourself may find lot of ambiguity in your answers.
Here is what it means to me on the other side may be a funny side...
Last 8-10 years have been a revolution to the highly rated channels due to some female 'kapoor' handling the high time entertainment specifically to women dominated society (no male is ignored here... its just women being high in number. pardon me...). Yes I am talking about the small screen revolutionary serials. I call it "Laugh with Embarrassment". Especially the names are rocking and the most common is revolving right in your head, isn't it? Earlier post I talked about my unwillingness being tested till its justified when I am sitting next to my mother in front of high pitch musical drama (serials). The Saas-Bahu serials are so magnificently portrayed that no matter what, they are leaving traces in every home. At least the serials should start with "Please Do Not Try This At Home". Many women are deadly influenced by the characters. Some are flexible in practicing at home... lol.
Negative shades in characters (suits women fantasies... in serials!!! kidding me), imagine the same vilan for more than 50 episodes (Pls explain why should one watch it for 50 episodes?). The mandir sequences are almost filled with terrible accidents while climbing the stairs or stepping down and no wonder the mandir is almost same in most serials. The another baffling question in my mind... Is there a need for hard core make-up while sleeping? Oh No What the... Need???
I dont disagree with them and their intentions as they have succeeded in taking efforts to make my mother weep for at least an hour daily. I am damn sure of this being the case with every other mother. In other countries they call series but here they call serials. Simple reason - Have you ever noticed they are serially linked. One serial shows re-incarnation of a character and the same is adopted by other serials too. Here we decide whether its emotional attyachaar, mental torture or fun. I always go with first 2 choices. It will be no surprise to see SONY TV changing its name to CID TV in few days time.
Everyone has seen Reality shows. Say singing and dancing shows, run for money shows... fine till here, then why does their limitations and our patience tested by bringing up shows like dulha mil gaya and crap. I always think who must be wasting 1 hour daily of life to watch the so called "celebrities"... Instead one would go and bathe for that hour to get the least satisfaction of being clean and decent. Wasteful bogus acts. Other such acts of reality shows to increase TRP: the judges fighting amongst themselves, slogging participants for no reasons, etc. instead of promoting their talents. How cheap it sounds!!!
What is world so good without advertisements? Nowadays products are not at all famous for their quality but surely for the scintillating ads. Have you seen the most intolerable recent ad of Nirma. Hell... I imagine T.V. in one corner, Me on the other side facing T.V with remote in one hand... Hand stretched face distorted ready for a shot and here I go.... .... .... booooooooooooom and say "FO with your powder"...(Sorry for impatient offense). On the other hand Axe Effect ads are more interesting and... you can control your uninterrupted naughty smiles guys :)
The telebrand ads... A popular ad: Increase your height by 4-7 inches in 3 months. Imagine what a revolution it would be considering heights of everything... buildings, cars, doors, beds, etc. increasing due to increase in heights of people using these annoying methodologies. Pathetic.
Also the cold drink ad - kyun ki kutta bhi peeta hai and dar ke aage jeet hai... Hello. Please reason me out. Such ads must be censored with F - ratings ('F' means Faulty guys, pls dont use the word in your mind...).
News channels: Another source of laughter. Earlier Breaking news was the news of some big disaster or problem or conspiracy but today every news is breaking news. It comes scrolling below... BREAKING NEWS: Saap ne bandar ko kata aur bandar behosh... BREAKING NEWS: Kaatil ne kiya pyaar... BREAKING NEWS: Building ke upar se chillaya kaun?. Is this even a news? It freaks me.
Have you ever seen South films. You need to watch it if you have missed. I saw a high action drama movie last time and felt the urge to wake up dead scientists as I learnt that the laws of gravitation are being reinvented. The flying fights with 1/10th gravity... mindblowing yanna ras**la: MINDDD ITTT. :-) I am sure these films will make your day. Another observation was their dance with heart stopping beats, so fast so furious that the second step was already over before my eye catched the first one.
Another catchy sequence...
Trendz and FTV are becoming more sophisticated channels as Bollywood is not leaving any stone turned to get the rights of showing what FTV or Trendz have never thought of showing. Imagine director saying to actor "Kissing scene is so undervalued these days, you have to work on intimate scenes from now on... " and actor says "Please Sir I want to show up my acting skills at least now..." Ohhhhhh cut retake! retake! retake!
If by ne chance there were no women, there would be only one channel 'Doordarshan' - no doubt. But as a byproduct of reproduction even God had no other choice. :) Talking about doordarshan, its the slowest channel on earth or in the whole universe or even can say in the limits of space. Even the newly originated planets with newly invented Television would have faster broadcasting.
All in all if you can see the world of television in India in a different way I am sure you can laugh your heart out. :)

Relationship - Whose who is who !!! -- PART - II
Getting with the part I ideologies of relationship I have changed the meaning of SUMMARY by broadening its view which the English dictionary wont accept as summary anyhow. I tried summarizing relationship and its type or kind in previous post but this time around will get through with my real time experiences and or examples.
Consider our Indian culture giving wide range of relations in a family itself. Its so long so wide that I see parents taking tests of their children of "who's who" in relatives until candles burn out. Instead of remembering this big hierarchical relations of relatives I would prefer Engineering Studied twice. :). Due to Indias diversely cultured nature we find largely scattered communities on the basis of rituals or beliefs giving rise to different religions and castes. Now what this has done is there is a strong relationship or bonding internally between these cultural divisions creating many relations. This provides a great significance to any relationship in our country.
That was more of a broader view but going deep into our bodies we find our body parts inter-related with each other. Now they too follow relationship patterns. Too heavy to digest but this is biological relationship... lol. Now please don't imagine body to soul or soul to body, mind to heart, body cell to body tissue, hair to skull or eyes to lips and lips to ... relationships ( Boys limit your imagination ).
Serials these days are creating lot of nuisance. I somehow unwillingly managed to watch few of them and found out how negatively they are addressing people about relationships. Each relation has negative shade someway or other. No doubt all women sitting around are taking these negatives to good extent . If I start on serials I will surely get distracted.
Thinking of A long distance relationship which I am in..., its very tough trust me. You need to be strong to go for a long distance relationship, its hard and impatient. It makes out how hard wired you are... Stop thinking of me, I am alright ;) .
Few years back, I had a friend from Chandigarh my first chat friend. We used to chat daily on internet (tried not mentioning that I spent Rs. 25 - 50 daily at that time in cafes). As time passed we built a good relation being good friends. We used to call each other on landline (too expensive). We shared each and everything we had in mind. Never met her and never saw her but we maintained a very trustful relationship. Now this was nice till the time I got a call from her very new boyfriend. He was nice with me but I felt his urge of "Please don't call her I m feeling jealous!!!" and thought of not calling her. Since then we are not in touch. But for that time period the relation was nice and sweet. If I get a chance I would like to meet her someday. Now this relation was a stranger relation for me or for her but was pure.
Few days back I got a call from one of my friend. I was in thoughts of what relationship means. To clear up my throat I asked her...
" What do you think relationship is to you? "
" Relationship is Bullshit ", She reacted immediately with a sense of depression I guess.
" And why do you think it is so? ", I asked after getting a shocking feedback from her for my previous sweet thoughts running about relationship.
" I don't know what is relationship for others but for me its like getting bored with same things going around, commitment taken for granted and things done only for self satisfaction at times... Overall it stinks... ", She said creating a long pause of 6 secs between talks.
This conversation was interesting. Maybe it can be a true life situation for someone... Maybe only depression.
After the above conversation I thought Love in a relation can turn relationship to extremes when faith, expectation or ego part being distracted or hurt. Perhaps love being above all, the contrasting nature of human relations occur in and out.
There are many new evolving relationships these days. Same sex couples getting into courtships and marriages (sounds weird to me but is a fact) is one of its kind. Live-in relationship is another kind and interesting (Boys won't stop dreaming as usual...).
Connecting virtues of faith, belief, good attitude, attachment, emotions, character and lastly the need builds a strong and healthy relationship. Have you ever heard of an healthy relationship? Here it is, it means a relation that is blessed with faith and space. Now you must be hunting around the big jungle of relations whether which one is perfectly healthy and which isn't...
Why are we dependent on relationships? Is it emotional attachment or just a need? Everyone has to personally look into it.

Relationship - Whose who is who !!! -- PART - I
Relationship is like a ship carrying a relation (relation + ship). funny. But It surely means whose who is who and why who is whose who (not zoo zoo pls). Supposedly understood by (I don't know) but surely except me. A relation could be of a kind selfish, selfless, neutral or useless. It all depends on how we take it rather.
Now getting on to general terms and issues regarding flexible nature of relationships, it was quite easy on getting to the points to be portrayed, but somehow made it more precise. We follow numerous relationships in our day-to-day life. Its rather hard to describe or comment on each of them. Lately I managed to learn about some faithful, unfaithful, disturbing, pure relationships.
Talking about pure relationships, what is actually a pure relation? Well... Thinking for long time I got a stupid answer that 'It is pure' and few more minutes of brain drilling and fact counseling I felt it being selfless, unbiased, keen involvement and well poised. Almost thought of giving off an blogging idea for such a simple thought. Interesting suggestion from dhanno about 'Krishna and Meera, where Meera waiting for Krishna for her lifetime'. Now this is selfless and pure relation. Some have relationship with god. Wonder how they maintain it though. They try and prove their internal relation with god. I am not a disbeliever but it sounds weird and mostly my mind sparks with a question for them ... 'Is it pure or selfish?' (No limits for superhuman nature of doubting though... hee hee heee).
Taking our handle on to selfish relationships. Now this is better kind to discuss. If I start I can write a 5000 liner essay on it. Generally attitude and objective matters to score big in it. Simple, consider a relation just for a need of an hour or a relation that is gaining you positives or profits, possibly a gain in whatever field respective to the kind of relation. For example, A business relationship where both parties are in competition of earning big somehow with the help of others. Consider another example, Political relationship: Do I need to explain this relationship between two political individuals or parties?. There is a saying in politics - 'You cant be friends with a stranger selflessly, so beware'. Now this indicates what we actually were relying on. right? A selfish relationship.
Every other person in this age is selfish (except me... most commonly defended "interpretation" by all). Some have managed to top this field. What is ' Need Of An Hour ' is what makes one selfish and it has to reflect in the relationship one or the other way. But one has to understand its hindrances in future.
Coming out of selfishness I got a thought of Interim relationships. Interim here means achieving a thing permanently in a relation or being successful of getting the relationship to what it was intended for. Basically, this seems more challenging when we don't take relationships for granted. Read it again.
Generally we tend to have strong relationships with people having similar mentality or thought process. Better the tuning better is the hand on a relationship. Relationship is a package of trust, faith, better understanding, tuning as said, nature of a relation - maybe pure, selfish or may even be pathetic. Its again how you take it.
This was just a precise thought of any relationship. In the next part, I would go through personal and individual relationships and their funny as well as serious outcomes...
Summarized Part I to be continued Part II...
