Welcome again. A sweet transformation from social to ethical to spiritual writing. Today I would like to question 'The Existence Of GOD'. Over the years of my imagination (which most of the times seemed useless) about GOD's existence I could somehow realize proximity towards truth of what it has in its conclusion. Its very hard to overcome the age old thrusting of my parents to believe in god. As it is, it had just became a routine kind of thing without base knowledge or supportive logical knowledge.
Yesterday I read a very beautiful article on Abhiram sir's blog - elekhan (देव नाही देवालयी !). It then came to me as an inspiration to put forward my thoughts.
I don't want to prove existence of god but surely like to measure its presence. Now the only non destructive thing till date in this world is GOD. No wonder but no one has ever come up with such an idea to showcase (must be fear of god...lol). The previous post - Blind Faith has a strong co-relativity with this one but in a positive sense. We generally say... We have faith in god but
what is he?
where does he reside?
why is he so strong?
etc.etc. ...This questions keep on haunting me every time I hear this line. This is blind faith.
Lets analyze: When do we say 'I have faith in god'?
Condition 1: When we try to be overoptimistic of getting something which is always in 10% : 90% ratio. As always 10% being on our side.
Condition 2: May be we are waiting for a miracle in our favor. (You can see this in almost every bollywood film with few exceptions though...)
Condition 3: May be when we are in deep trouble and there are no ways left to get over it. (Imagine a bollywood hero hanging on a tree on the cliff and murmuring 'bhagwan mujhe bachalo please...')
There may arise many such situations for god to be present when needed. His status changes time to time from doing wrong things to doing right things.
This is one way I can state his presence but being purely personal. I try and elaborate it more from another angle. In morning I met my friend and asked her about gods existence. She replied "I don't know the actual existence but there is something very strong feeling about him. There is a very positive energy which enable few troubles to pass away swiftly. The existence makes my confidence level go heights" and finally she says "I believe in his existence as it makes me strong". Now this made some senses to me. 'Believe it to make you believe yourself'.
Every other person has a different point of view or lookout. As pointed by Abhiram sir in his post, the person feels presence of god in what he gets as reward after completing his work. Similarly, for others god is a person, you hear people saying 'X' person is a god, for our community or our nation. Remember the Hindi song 'Tujhme rab dikhta hai...' resembles the presence of god in our loved ones. I know its a weird example but is a fact. ('Guess m watching too many bollywood films...where are you my almighty ??? '). In our Indian culture husband is 'pati parmeshwar', wife has to treat husband as god and worship him till the end... (I know its... its... OMG :).) So here wife sees god in her husband. Few people consider even work as god. Others see god in their elder ones mostly parents. We even say beautiful nature as being gods presence or even destruction being gods act to balance things. It depends on how people think and take it. I even heard people saying god reside inside us and it portrays out our good side. Maybe true as I cant tear apart my chest to look inside as did by hanumaan to show where lord ram resided in him.
I feel there has to be someone above all and it is GOD himself above to make things work positive. I can even say Fear of god is necessary amongst us so to keep ourselves in limits otherwise this world would have never existed.
Presence of god means a lot as it comes out with modesty, self-inspiration, self-belief, positive attitude and pure satisfaction.

Tanmay,
That was another great, stimulating article. I read it twice. I think God is omnipresent. We do not need to search for him in Temples and Mosques. We can feel him everywhere if we believe that he exists. He makes sure that he gets noticed. I believe that the God fear is an outcome of the respect that we have for him. Sometimes I feel that God is our Good 'Avatar' and we can see him through our Good work, faith and prayers. Meeting God is as simple as meeting your good side.
Keep the faith…. Keep Going
Omnipresent is the word I was searching for... Thanks again sir. I hope this goes well with your article...
